It's that time of year when we want to start over and reinvent a better version of ourselves, but most of us go a bit overboard with our resolutions and end up failing. Here are 3 tips from Coach Christian Koshaba on how to set realistic resolutions you'll actually keep.
1. Set Realistic, Attainable Goals - Don't try to change every aspect of yourself overnight; it just won't work. Pick one or two resolutions that are important to you and work on those. Don't take on the whole mountain at once.
2. Battle Buddy-
Get a close friend or family member to help you with your resolutions. A buddy to hold you accountable, work with you and cheer you on will make a world of difference. You can support each other by going to the gym together, shopping for healthy meals together and crying together if that's what it takes.
3. Set Macro and Micro Goals-
A goal without a plan is just a wish. You need a path to follow so you don't get overwhelmed and give up. Set micro goals like; eat healthy one day a week or go to the gym one day a week. Once you are successful with that micro goal, add another day to your healthy eating and workout plan. Before you know it you will be reaching and exceeding your micro goals and on your way to your macro goal of living a healthy and fit lifestyle.
