THE #1 MUSCLE GROUP YOU SHOULD BE STRETCHING, BUT AREN'T. Find out what muscle it is and why you

Your hip flexors play an important role in your daily activities, posture and workouts, if not stretched properly and regularly, they will cause you a great deal of discomfort and even pain. The chief symptom of a strained or torn hip flexor is pain in the area at the front of your hip where it meets your thigh.

Your hip flexors are a group of muscles at the top of your thighs that allow you

to walk, bend, kick and swivel your hips. Tight hip flexors can lead to back and hip pain, decreased range of motion, and poor posture.

Regularly stretching this group of muscles will prevent injury and help you get better results from your workouts, pain free.

Aim to stretch one a day. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds in each direction.

Research is showing that you do not receive benefit from stretching longer than 30 seconds or more than once a day.

If you don't have a band to use to stretch with, you can still perform this stretch as shown in the images above.
